All our coffees (like all the best coffees in the world) are grown under shade trees, which typically provide a second crop or source of food for farming families and homes to migrating birds. Large estates sometimes sacrifice shade trees to plant more coffee – in some places this has damaged bird populations.
We named this dark roasted heavy-bodied blend Made in the Shade to highlight the importance of shade trees.
