I realize that physics sets limits, but I find it amazing how well this box works for me in practice. It has proven itself on small to medium stages for years and can play their best here optimally: Since it is equipped with only a speaker, it is driven much faster to its optimal working range, which makes the sound very lively and less stiff. The Thiele Bass-Reflex-System, as well as the tightly toothed and extremely stiffened case, provide for a defined dynamic bass response with low basses – just like it is otherwise known only from a large 4×12 er.

And that even at low volumes. The housing volume in the box also ensures an extra portion of low mid-range. But even at high volumes, the box remains balanced and does not tend to roar. The speaker with the fatter magnet is always controlled. It even provides a harmonious midrange and soft heights that are even more silky due to the filter effect of the front clothing with the thick Basket Weave. 

Fat basses with fast response, a creamy midrange, soft and silky highs that do not annoy. The FATCAB sounds and feels like an old mini 4×12 box for me. In clubs and on medium stages, I miss no more 4×12 box.
